Bishop Robert Barron has written a hard-hitting yet insightful book on the clerical sexual abuse crisis, titled
Letter to a Suffering Church. Read Barron's book and join in on an important discussion about its relevance to our Archdiocese on Tuesday, October 1st, from 6:30 till 9:00 pm in Hofstede Hall. Father Dan Griffith will frame the discussion and the significance to the healing process. Tom Johnson, Ombudsperson for victim-survivors of clerical sexual abuse for the Archdiocese, and Julie Craven, Director of Communications at Lourdes, will host these events. Complimentary copies of the books will be available after the Masses at Lourdes beginning August 17th. There is no cost but please register
at this link to reserve a spot, as the book study will be open to people in other parishes.
One review of the book commented: "For Catholics questioning their faith, searching desperately for encouragement and hope, this book will offer reasons to stay and fight in the Body of Christ."
