CANTOR MINISTRY AT LOURDES

We would love to be able to add more cantors to our music ministry at Our Lady of Lourdes. Cantors serve an important role by proclaiming the Responsorial Psalm and Gospel, chanting the proper Introit and Communio, and singing the remaining parts of the Mass with the gathered assembly. Experience with reading music and preparing music independently is highly desired. Familiarity with Gregorian Chant is helpful, but training and additional resources can be provided. **If you're interested in singing but don't feel as confident in your skills, please stay tuned for some learning opportunities coming later this summer!** Cantors typically rehearse with the organist 45 minutes before assigned Masses to rehearse, but additional practice time can be arranged if needed.
